TRINIDAD, Texas - April 23, 2026 – Capt. Michael Tucker has just added his third port, TowBoatUS Cedar Creek Reservoir, to his growing portfolio of Texas lakes that he services as part of North America’s largest on-water towing fleet of more than 300-plus on-water towing ports nationwide, TowBoatUS.
A captain for more than 15 years, Michael Tucker has always felt at home on the water. From persuading his dad to take him to the lake to fish and wakeboard as a teenager to turning a captain opportunity with a TowBoatUS port into ownership, he’s never looked back. Today, he brings deep experience, passion and proven leadership to every operation he owns, including TowBoatUS Bois d’Arc and TowBoatUS Lake Texoma.
“Expanding to TowBoatUS Cedar Creek Reservoir was a natural next step,” said Michael Tucker, owner and operator. “There’s a strong BoatUS member base and a great community of boaters here—and they deserve dependable, professional service when something goes wrong. We take pride in being a trusted resource, working alongside local law enforcement and first responders to help more people return safely to the dock. Our goal is simple: get boaters home safely and be the team they can count on when it matters.”
TowBoatUS Cedar Creek Reservoir offers on-water towing assistance, fuel delivery, jump-starts, and soft ungroundings for recreational boaters. Additionally, they are equipped to provide salvage and recovery services to the area. The port will operate a 21-foot Boston Whaler Impact with one captain. This response vessel is well suited for the area, designed to operate in shallow water for safe, damage-free towing of vessels in need of assistance.
“I’m excited to oversee operations at TowBoatUS Cedar Creek Reservoir and ensure our customers know they can count on a reliable port on the water—one that’s ready to assist when boating plans take an unexpected turn,” said Willie Simms, Port Operator at the new port.
Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) offers on-water towing memberships for $130/year for freshwater. In addition to a BoatUS Towing Membership, members also receive more than 25 valuable BoatUS benefits including a subscription to award-winning BoatUS Magazine, free DSC-VHF radio registration and more.
To request on-water assistance, boaters can call the BoatUS toll-free 24/7 Dispatch Center at 800-391-4869, download the free BoatUS App, which connects boaters to the closest local towing captain, call TowBoatUS Cedar Creek Reservoir directly at 903-608-0911 or hail on VHF radio Ch.16.
