ANNAPOLIS, Md. Nov. 29, 2021 – With more new boaters hitting the water than ever before, it may come to no surprise that accidents increased 26% in 2020 and are trending up again for 2021. You can do something about it. Helping your fellow boaters become safe boaters requires boating safety education, and there is no better provider of online boating safety courses than the non-profit BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water.

The 501(c)(3) has educated more than two million boaters over the past 25 years with the nation’s only free online boating safety course. Hundreds of thousands of boaters took the course in the last year alone. The NASBLA approved and U.S. Coast Guard recognized course meets education requirements in 35 states – and goes beyond minimums set for boating safety education. It’s simply a great course for any boat owner, new or old.

Help support the online course and many other of the Foundation’s programs by making a Giving Tuesday donation today at BoatUS.org/donate. It’s the one way you can make boating better for everyone.
