SPRINGFIELD, Va., August 12, 2020 – Whether heading out on the water for an overnight or going on an extended summer cruise, a new partnership will help boaters get more out of the journey. Waterway Guide, the interactive cruising and boater guide featuring mile-by-mile navigation, marina and anchorage listings, fuel pricing and boating news, has teamed up with Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS), the nation’s largest advocacy, services and safety group, to offer a complimentary annual BoatUS membership to all Waterway Guide Premium subscribers.

This means boaters get the critical navigation and trip planning information for cruising while also accessing valuable BoatUS member discounts along the way, including fuel, transient dockage and repair discounts at nearly 400 marinas. Additionally, Waterway Guide Premium online subscribers can use their BoatUS membership card to get discounts at bait and tackle shops and other boating businesses, exclusive rewards at West Marine, a discount on BoatUS on-water Unlimited Towing, a free MMSI number for DSC-VHF radios, and more.

Online, Waterway Guide Premium subscribers can access the cruising guides via links and icons relevant to boaters’ locations and interests. Navigation Alerts, inlets, chartlets, and Goin’ Ashores are also offered.

“Boaters want their cruising guidebooks and digital access,” said Graham Jones, Vice President Marketing and Business Development at Waterway Guide Media. “They now have it. Including BoatUS membership is a tremendous benefit to our Premium subscribers who want to enjoy safe boating, travel, adventure and savings on our waterways.”

“Waterway Guide and BoatUS are two staples for every boater,” said Elio Betty, BoatUS Partnerships Director and Publisher of BoatUS Magazine. “This partnership gives Waterway Guide’s active boating community valuable access to BoatUS member discounts and perks they can use regularly.” The partnership will give BoatUS members a discount on Waterway Guide products such as cruising guides.

About Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS):

Celebrating more than 50 years, BoatUS is the nation’s largest organization of recreational boaters with more than a half-million members. We are the boat owners’ voice on Capitol Hill and fight for their rights. We are The Boat Owners Auto Club and help ensure a roadside trailer breakdown doesn’t end a boating or fishing trip before it begins. When boats break down on the water, TowBoatUS brings them safely back to the launch ramp or dock, 24/7. The BoatUS Marine Insurance Program offers policies that give boat owners affordable, specialized coverage and superior service they need. We help keep boaters safe and our waters clean with assistance from the nonprofit BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water. Visit BoatUS.com.
