Bayliner Boats has been building zippy runabout powerboats for decades. For model year 2027, the Tennessee builder is replacing its popular VR6 Bowrider Series with a beamier V22 Series – available in either outboard or sterndrive configurations. Curved, clean lines distinguish the V22 hull sides from the retired VR6 line, but more design improvements can be found inside.

The V22’s 8-foot, 4-inch beam is 4 inches wider than the outgoing VR6, which opens the cockpit for more seating. An L-shaped lounge seating transitions for cruising, entertaining, dining, and water sports. Courtesy lighting is standard, and there’s an integrated cooler under the helm seat.

Twin captain’s bucket seats with 180-degree swivel make for easy pivoting for conversation or watching skiers. The automotive-like helm station features a custom sport steering wheel and multi-function gauges. Options include 7- or 9-inch Simrad Digital Dash with VesselView Link.

Bayliner packed a lot of storage in this compact boat, with substantial in-floor, under-seat, and bow storage throughout. A large aft sunpad flips up to reveal a deep storage compartment beneath, ideal for tubes, towables, and gear for a full day on the water.
