The 33 Full Cabin from Life Proof Boats has a militaristic vibe, but custom color and decking options help it look inviting. Photo, Life Proof Boats
Boating among icebergs on your bucket list? Or maybe beaching on an uninhabited atoll? Wherever you want to go, Life Proof’s 33 Full Cabin can probably get you there. Made in Bremerton, Washington, a hub of metal boatbuilding, this aluminum pilothouse express cruiser tops out at 45 mph when powered by the base package twin 250 hp Mercury outboards, or 60 mph when capped out with triple 300s. In lieu of a generator, a standalone 24-volt lithium-ion battery is dedicated for AC power inversion in addition to a regular 12-volt bank. The pilothouse saloon has pilot and copilot seats, an L-shaped settee, and a galley with induction cooktop. The cabin, which includes a front-facing door to the bow, includes a head and double berth.

The aluminum hull is happy to rest on a beach. The windlass and thru-stem anchor are standard.
The pilothouse is an airy hangout with 360-degree views and sliding windows. The tabletop is teak, and the galley includes an induction cooktop, fridge, and deep stainless sink.

The full-size door and large aft window of the pilothouse open to the aft deck, creating a combined indoor/outdoor entertainment space.
The skipper’s Shockwave seat absorbs sloppy seas, and the throttle controls are integrated to move with the driver. Mercury Joystick control is an optional upgrade.

During the day, the forward cabin is a walkthrough to the bow. At night, insert the middle panels for a full-beam berth. Extra cushions adhere to the walls when not in use. Both sides are empty underneath for storage, and the head is to port.
