I’ve noticed that a lot of are either restoring, or have completed restoring a Formula F-233. And as an owner of one I know why. I started this thread so we could share where we found information on parts, plans, diagrams, or anything that we could use to help our own projects.

    My personal project is going to take a lot of time, but as soon as it’s in the water I guarantee it will turn heads, not just for looks, but for unprecedented technical operation. I’m using it as a case study in alternative propulsion setups, and hopefully the results are as favorable as I predict.

     Personally I’m having trouble finding out the design parameter of the hull, I can’t even find elevation drawings and may have to manually take over 31,000 data points off the hull in order to create a cad model. I’m trying to avoid this, so if you have any suggestions or information please let me know.

     Also if you have any information that could help another builder please post it so we can all help each other.

here shortly i will be repowering my 23'3 as well as time to redo the interior work, sadly the oem sink, frig is long gone and wish i could find one somewhere to restore it back as it came from the factory. only thing im trying to figure out is how to get the carpeted floor out, and replace it with a nice fiberglass floor, and makeing it to where its not slippery and still look nice like was done from the factory. this may be fun.

look on the formula boat club thread, there is alot of helpfull members on there also, and a great bunch of guys.

At this point i am investigating Surface Drive options for my boat. I'm on a quest to achieve 70+mph but still get 3-4mpg at cruising speed. (est 40-45mph) at this point i'm basically re-engineering the boat, the actual condition of the boat is in pieces. i've removed the deck and cabin inorder to begin replacment of many parts and panels.

How about just put a pair of Merc 250 xs or Yam 300 HPDI's on a bracket?  I bet you could see 70, depending on how much weight you put in the boat in the rebuild.
