Greetings.., Just got the bad knews on the squeaky seawater pump from my 280 Catalina.., can't be re-built.  It's a Sherwood   G-30-2B, list price new (gulp) $330 + shipping.  Any ideas out there?  Christmas turned my pockets inside-out, I'm in SW Florida, company's comin', and I need my boat!  Help  !

hi diveprez, try reposting this in the "Catalina" forum...bunch of knowledgable captains in there who should be able to help out.

Is the Catalina new to you?  What year is she?  Where in SW FL are you?  Boatman is in Marco, I used to live in Cape Coral (but back in NY).

Thanks Tom..., thot I was in Catalina..., will do.  BTW.., I'm in NFM and the boat's behind a friends house just off the Caloosahatchie.  Water Baby is a '79 280 with a '04 275HP GM 350.  Runs sweet when that *+$%@" pump isn't screaming.  I've had her since '05..., came off the St. Johns..., a freshwater boat from Florida.., kind of amazing!
