To all,

Does anyone have any experience with Odessey P2150 or P2250 batteries as replacements for an 8D starting battery?

Hello Jack,

I do not have experience with this particular battery but I do have a LOT of experience with batteries being ruined by chargers.

My advice to any boater, is to NOT use the automotive style that is notorious for boiling out the fluid, and to get something like the Truecharge, which is using a chip and takes the battery through numerous stages, hardwired and turned on all the time.  Fantastic results for me, and I would hope for anyone else too.  HEre is a link with a photo and some of the benefits, features, and specs on the model I used.  This is just one choice, as there are others now that do essentially the same thing, not inexpensive, but worth every penny.

After installing one of these to maintain three battery banks, my batteries lasted many years longer and they were always hot to take off and run.
