I,m looking to repower my 1994 wellcraft coastal 218. It currently has a 200 hp Evinrude. I would like to get a 4 stroke but unsure if transom and boat design could handle the extra weight. Or maybe an E-tek? Any ideas? THANKS

I'm not familiar with the Wellcraft model 218. I am VERY new to this whole boating thing. I just happened to be re-building an entire Thunderbird Iroquois. I called Thunderbird / Formula and they told me that Thunderbird only made about 10 of these per year. The Iroquois is VERY rare. And I also need to learn all that I can about my boat.  Good luck with your WellCraft.  Sincerely, "Tiger"
