   We owned a 23' Dusky back in the 90's.  Great boat. Not a fast boat, but a safe and DRY boat, unlike the Contenders and Fountains.

I've ridden on a friend's Contender 25, but only on really mild days so I couldn't judge the dryness.  Gotta say that Contender rode smoothly, though.  But yeah, no doubt the Dusky with that big ole bow is pretty dry.  She actually rides fairly well if you know how to handle her -- gotta keep the motor trimmed right with the tabs down enough to keep that sharp-entry bow dug into oncoming seas...that's the key.  Very forgiving, too.  Best of all, she was a bargain for a knockaround that I could trailer to parts unknown and keep at our Keys cottage when needed.

My jaw just drops on the floor at the boat shows these days when I see what all the big names are getting these days for center console boats -- unbeLIEVable!  I think you pay about $90k for a Contender 25 with a single ob and minimal rigging.  Intrepids & Jupiters?  I'm still wondering where they keep the gold plating, 'cause it's gotta be there somewhere!

I remember riding on a Dusky once, but it kept getting drunk and couldn't find its way home.

It didn't steer worth a damn and turned in to every waterfront bar between Litehouse Point and West Plum Beached.

I wouldn't have one of the damn things myself.

Yellowfin is a super boat... Ran one for 3 kingfish tournaments last year. So is the price.....

I paid $22,500 for my fully rigged Dusky with trailer ( oh, that was in 1994) or about the same as just the cost of a motor nowdays....
