I have a 1977 Thpmpson trawler 44.  Does anyone know how to get into the bulkhead where the fuel tank is?  I need to find out what size fuel tank I have.

Capt Charlie,

I have Thompson 44, single 4-53 detroit. We carry around 640 gallons in two tank at around 320 gallons each. Our tanks are port & stb'd where I can put a tape on them. No bulk head to deal with just work bench & parts bins. WIll be glad to give you a rough overall dimension and depth if you like.
