I have an 89 Exp Cruiser and the rollers on the pocket door are shot. Is there any easy way to get at them?

There are several posts about this. The short answer is no. The entire helm station has to be removed to access the track and the sliders. This happened on my previous SR245 and luckily I was trading up so I left it as it was.

Have you gotten any info on this, or gotten any in depth resonses? I was told by another that the EC isn't nearly as daunting as the SunDancer. From what I was told you only have to remove the teak trim and lift the doors out from the top. If you have more info, or have done this repair, let me know please.

Go here and download the parts manual if you do not have it already, 1989 is the last year listed.

http://www.searay.com/parts_manuals.asp?tab=&year=1989

Also while you are there look at the menu on the left and click on owners manual link and you can download that as well if you need it.

I already have both in hand, only problem is it's not a service manual. The parts list shows a list of parts you can no longer get and no description of how to repair them.

The question remains, is there anyone out there with a 89 340EC who has removed the cabin door, or replaced the hardware without totally taking it out?
