I am looking for the best way to mount the remote control unit to the gunwale of my side console boat. Do I just drill through holes into the gunwale and bolt the unit on with the flat washers and nuts on the outside of the boat? Or do I epoxy a board on the gunwale and then wood screw the control unit to this board? Other? Note: the fiberglass is very thin, estimated at 1/8" thick at this point on the gunwale.
