Have serioue steering problems with Opti Max 135 on an 18'Dauntless used on saltwater---entire sleeve said to need replacement.

Anyone have similar problems???

My only comment is I have a 2002 21' Outrage w/ 200 HP Saltwater Optimax w/ hydraulic steering w/ no problems. What are your specifics?

Don't mess with steering..if u are not sure of what is going on have it professionally check out this time... next time you will know what to do.... Steering malfunctions are a major cause of boating accidents...
