The Story:  I've always dreamed of catching a big lake trout out of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Ever since I was 12 years old I've been buying heavy duty tackle and planning my dream trip to the Gorge. So when I finally got to spend a day on the legendary lake, I had high hopes. Throughout the course of the day, I had at least ten massive strikes and missed them all. It was incredibly frustrating. We were just about ready to reel up our lines and head in for the day when this 16-pounder hit! It was a total thrill to battle him and then I released him back into the Gorge to fight another day.

The Story:   My husband John had the boat and fried chicken dinner ready after work. We struggled to get a few live shrimp since the tide didn't fully go out. Went fishing at our "flounder spot" and nothing. He gave the 5 minute warning to leave and the next words were "get the net". He caught the first flounder. While he was getting the hook out I stole his spot and within three minutes got the second 17" flounder. Ended with beautiful sunset and fried FLOUNDER dinner.
