COVID-19 State Information
GEICO Marine Insurance Company (GMIC) paused cancellation of policies for non-payment until May 31, 2020. We continue to monitor COVID-19 updates including state specific guidelines and any required changes. Please note that we will follow all state specific requirements. These changes will be automatic and require no action from you unless specifically noted below.
If you can make a payment, we strongly encourage you to do so, as unpaid bills must still be paid after the pause period to avoid cancellation.

If you are unable to make a payment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, contact us and we will:
- Provide a 90-day suspension on cancellation from May 1, 2020 if you are unable to make a payment on time (please note that while your policy will not cancel during this time, the amount due will continue to accrue);
- Allow premiums due but not paid during the 90-day period to be paid over the remainder of the policy term or up to 12 months whichever is longer (please note failure to remain current on your repayment obligation may result in cancellation of your policy); and
- Not charge late payment fees or report late payments to credit rating agencies.
We are dedicated to working with you to develop flexible payment plans once normal billing resumes.
