The Boat Trailering Guys
What is better to do: disassemble and repack my bearings at the end of the season or do it at the beginning of the season? The trailer sits outside for about four months (Nov-March) without being moved.

GEORGE: I'd vote for doing it at the end of the season. Why? If there is water inside any of the bearings, it's going to sit for four months or so before the next season begins and during that time, there's going to be some serious corrosion taking place. It's called preventative maintenance. MIKE: This is a matter of preference, but I would do it at the end of the season. Especially since you live in the frigid North. If there is any water in your bearings/hubs you won't have to worry about it freezing.
