If the brake fluid in my master cylinder is low, am I going to get any kind of warning other than the obvious (no brakes)? K. Cohen, Newburg, NY

MIKE: I am not sure what model actuator you have, but with most models you have to periodically check the fluid levels. Tie Down Engineering does have models out on the market that have a feature that warns the operator when the level is low. Low levels of fluid will signal the operator by a hitch ball knocking sensation.
