Boat Trailering Guys:,
I have been having terrible luck with Goodyear Marathon trailer tires. I have a tandem axle Owen and Sons custom trailer with 215/R14 load range C Marathon tires that are only 6 months old and they have been blowing every other trip. I keep the 23' boat stored inside and well maintained. Are there problems with this brand of tire and are there other brands or different models for 14 inch rims. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks for your time, Jack

I have heard of problems with specific trailer tires but never with Goodyear Marathons. Some things to look for: -Are you inflating to the rated tire pressure as indicated on the sidewall of the tire? -Is it the same tire(s) that are blowing out i.e. front set or rear set. This could indicate that the load isn't balanced properly or that you have an axle that is out of alignment. -Are your tires rated for the weight of the load?
