Boat Trailering Guys:,

I want to add a front "tow hook/ring" to the front of a 1969 Chris Craft Commander 27' that never had one, so that I can trailer it occasionally. Where can I find some heavy duty hardware to do this and is it POSSIBLE to do this without damaging the integrity of the bow?

I cannot comment on the integrity of the bow without seeing it. If you are not comfortable with making that assessment I would suggest seeking the input of a local professional. Once you have determined whether this is something you will go forward with or not, you can get stainless steel bow eyes through West Marine. Make sure that you install a backing plate on the inner part of the hull where the bolts go through to add strengh and to distribute the load.
