Boat Trailering Guys:,
In my trailerable boat owner manual I found the following espression:"normal boat load". Could you tell me what does mean and why it is so important? Thank you.

"Normal boat load" can be many things but here's the gist of what is meant whenever the phrase is used: (1) The weight of the boat when loaded with equipment--coolers (with ice and food and drinks)--fuel (full tanks), water (full tank) and anchors, anchor chain, rodes and so on. (2) The phrase is important because your trailer--and your trailer tires--are rated with a maximum capacity than can be carried. So the weight of the boat corresponds directly to the weight being carried by the trailer. Hope this helps and thank you for the good question. George Knutsson
