Boat Trailering Guys:,

We leave our boat on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and want to take it to Cape Cod for a 2 week vacation but do not have a truck. Is there a place we can rent a truck that will tow our 24' bowrider? It weighs about $6,000 lbs with trailer, gear & fuel. Thanks

I have yet to come across a rental agency that will allow you to tow a trailer with their vehicle. You may find it more economical to find a local boat transport company to deliver the boat for you in comparison to renting a vehicle for two weeks (if you could find one that allowed for towing). You would also need to make arrangements with a marina for dockage (or racked storage)during this time, but think of the hassle free vacation that you would have not having to worry about the tow to and from your destination as well as not having to line up at the boat ramp.
