Boat Trailering Guys:,

I am trailing a 24ft open fisherman on a two axle trailer. The trailer starts to sway as soon as I hit 60 mph. It seems fine up to 60. Is this due to not enough weight being on the hitch?

The first adjustments that I would check would be the tongue weight as you suggest and the tire inflation. When making adjustments to your tongue weight, do so in small increments. You may be able to correct the problem just by rearranging gear on the boat while trailering. Check your tire pressure, make sure they are all inflated to their maximum pressure indicated on the sidewall.
