Boat Trailering Guys:,

Hi Guys, I removed my trailer wheels and put them inside for the winter. now I'm looking at the rusting hubs. I thought I read I should wrap them in plastic for the winter. Should I wire brush them and then coat them with grease first? or do nothing? thanks, fishnmitch

I would recommend coating the hubs with something, either grease or even a spray ie. Corrosion block, T-9 by Boeing, CRC, etc... It should not be necessary to wrap them in plastic. If anything the plastic may trap condensation and add to the corrosion problem. Coating them alone should be enough of a preventative. Mike Pellerin
