BoatUS Designation: Tower displays full BoatUS graphics and logo on hulls of their tow boats. The towing company may be hailed by using the area designation (TowBoatUS Alexandria) or by using the company designation (TowBoatUS Joe's Towing Co.).

ACAPT Designation: ACAPT - Accredited for Commercial Assistance and Professional Towing. Denotes certification as of January 2006 by C-PORT, a towing industry association.
