Boating Writers International Bestows Awards on BoatUS Magazine Writers

BoatUS Magazine writers racked up 6 Boating Writers International (BWI) awards at the Miami International Boat Show.

MIAMI, Fla. February 21, 2017 – Boating Writers International (BWI), the professional association for writers, editors, publishers and photographers in recreational boating and fishing industry, bestowed six awards to BoatUS Magazine writers during a presentation held at the group’s annual meeting at 2017 Miami International Boat Show. It is the 24th year of the annual writing contest which recognizes the best marine writing in the world and presents cash awards winners across 17 categories. BoatUS Magazine entries earned a first and second place as well as four merit awards. Here are the winning articles:

The Business of Boating – First Place: Stacey Nedrow-Wigmore: “Boat Lover’s Guide to Marine Tech Schools & Colleges,” December 2016: There's a great blue hole in the marine industry's skilled labor force. The causes are complex, and easy solutions remain elusive.
