ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 6, 2016 – Boating industry media veteran Rich Armstrong, former Managing Editor of Soundings and Soundings Trade Only publications, has joined the editorial team at BoatUS Magazine as Managing Editor.
Armstrong will be heading up magazine production, as well as managing story development both inside BoatUS and with outside freelancers, and he’ll manage the ongoing development of the magazine’s website content. His extensive video and news production experience will also be tapped to assist with the magazine’s how-to and DIY videos.
Said BoatUS Magazine Editorial Director, Bernadette Bernon, “We’re excited to welcome Rich and all of his great experience. He handled so much of the writing in Soundings online, with great in-depth industry stories over the past few years. He’s adept at everything from new-boat and new-product reviews, to in-depth interviews with innovators. He’s also written so many terrific features for Soundings magazine as well, and has handled an enormous amount of complex news writing. He’s got such a great reputation in the marine industry. It’s great to have him join us.”
Rich has enjoyed 18 years boating on the Connecticut River, with his wife and two children. He’ll be moving to Alexandria, Virginia, within the next few months.
