New Tool For Hard-To-Reach Freshwater Fish

Go 'where no one has gone before' in the packable, inflatable Stealth Boat, designed for fishing and much more.

Inflatable Stealth BoatThe inflatable Stealth Boat is designed for stability while casting.

Anglers fantasize about going "where no one has gone before" to land a trophy fish.

Ben Scribner is such an angler, and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to create the Stealth Boat, which he says is unlike any other inflatable boat on the market.

"I have long envisioned a boat that didn't exist," he writes on the Flycraft USA website, the company he launched through a Kickstarter campaign. "I searched and searched for the answer. Everywhere I turned was a dead end."

Stealth Boat is easily transportableAt 98 pounds, the boat is easily transportable, even over tricky terrain.

The 12-foot, 6-inch Stealth Boat (with 46-inch beam) is designed to be easily transported, highly maneuverable, navigate waters as shallow as 3 inches, and remain stable on the water.

When getting to a remote fishing hole, two adults can carry the boat, and it's designed to be dragged when needed.

The 98-pound inflatable raft packs up small enough to fit in a trunk of a car, RV compartment, or pickup-truck bed, and can be checked as airline baggage. The boat can be unpacked and assembled in "as little as eight minutes," according to Flycraft USA. There is room for two adults (and a youngster or a dog) with its 650-pound weight capacity.

"Guides, hardcore anglers, hunters, people with RVs, and families alike are buying the Stealth Boat," says Brandon Collett, Sales Manager. "We started as a fishing concept, and people have found many more uses for the boat."

A high-pressure, dropped, stitched floor provides a solid platform to stand on for casting. And standing stability is secured through the vessel's "reverse lean bar" technology, an innovative rear-leaning calf brace. The 14-inch tubes are constructed from 0.9 mm nylon interwoven PVC, chemically welded seams; while the seven-piece frame is made from 6063 T5 aluminum.

The base package, which includes two 360-degree swivel seats, is $2,995. Other packages, including one for a Honda 3-hp outboard, reach $4,605.
