Proposed Registration Fee and Luxury Tax Increase

Registration fee increase and luxury tax bills fail to advance

Two bills of particular interest to Maryland boaters were not adopted during the regular session of the Maryland General Assembly. HB 1307, legislation that would have raised the registration fees for boats and HB 1345, imposing a luxury tax on the sale of boats greater than $35,000 were not passed before the legislator adjourned for the year.
