Florida Boating News - "All Aboard Florida" Rail Service Proposed

A new passenger rail service, known as All Aboard Florida (AAF), has been proposed to run between Miami and the Orlando. With up to 16 trains a day, this has the potential to drastically change the operating schedule of at least 3 drawbridges over navigable waters that see considerable vessel traffic. The additional rail traffic combined with anticipated higher rail freight demand, due to the expansion of the Port of Miami, will likely require changes in the operations of several drawbridges that would impinge on navigation.
