Life Jacket Bill before Alabama Legislature

Representative Joe Faust (Baldwin County) has filed a bill that would raise the requirement for wearing a life jacket. Currently the state law requires all those age 8 and under to wear a life jacket on a boat but this measure would expand that age group to include all youth 13 and under.

The Alabama Legislature will be in session from 2/5/13 to 5/20/13.
