PFD
Loan for Photographers
To reduce the cost
of shooting photos of hunters and anglers wearing modern life jackets,
we’re offering free loans of adult life jackets for photographers.
The PFDs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis with a limit
of 4 jackets per photo shoot, but we’ll make every effort to accommodate
you if you have special needs.
You are free to
use the PFDs for any photo shoot, however we hope you’ll enter
our photo search and give us a chance to buy some of your pictures.
After we receive
your request, we’ll get back to you within 24 hours to discuss
availability of life jackets. The PFD loan is available to any photographer,
regardless of OWAA affiliation.

OWAA Members Only: Excellence in Craft Contest
Members of the Outdoor Writers Association of America
are eligible to enter the OWAA 2005 Excellence in Craft contest. The
BoatU.S. Foundation is sponsoring awards for published magazine and
newspaper stories, photography, art, radio, audio, television and video
that depict safe boating practices as acceptable and positive aspects
of the boating experience for hunters or anglers. First place is $400.
Only members of OWAA are eligible, and you must submit your entry before
January 2, 2005 (late entries accepted until January 28). Visit the
2005 Excellence in Craft awards section of the OWAA
website for full details. You must have your OWAA password to enter.
