There are few times when you can support a hobby and a great cause at the same time. This is one of them.
You may not know that the person who kindly gives you right-of-way learned the Rules of the Road from our Online Course, but you're glad she did.
You may not have realized that the monofilament recycling bins at your marina were placed there by a BoatUS Foundation Clean Water Grant, but they were.
Maybe you will never have to rent an EPIRB or borrow a free loaner life jacket, but if you do, we'll be there. Wherever there are boaters, the BoatUS Foundation's programs are making boating better.
Each year, we aim to reach more and more boaters with our safety and environmental messages and programs. We strive to make an impact on boater’s lives because we hear from them every single day. We’re often asked what kind of impact are we having and what kind of programs benefit from support. Or my personal favorite, why should "I" donate?
The short answer is that our programs reach boaters on the coasts, rivers, bays and streams and that we are making an important impact on the safety of boaters and the health of our nation's waterways. Our 2009 Annual Report demonstrates our commitment, tracks our progress and quantifies our success – I invite you to take a look around while visiting our website, and I’m happy to report that we are making a difference.
Donations from individual boaters and grants are what have kept the BoatUS Foundation, a national 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, doing its great work for over 30 years.
Help us maintain these safe boating and environmental stewardship programs with a tax-deductible donation, or by taking part in one of the Foundation's many fundraising programs. There are so many ways to make your support count!
If you prefer to send a check by mail you can send it to BoatU.S. Foundation, 880 South Pickett Street, Alexandria, VA 22304. With donations of $25 or greater, we will send a letter recognizing your donation. For tax planning purposes, our EIN is 54-1156448.
The BoatUS Foundation expresses sincere gratitude to the hundreds of thousands of boaters who have made a commitment to safer and cleaner boating by making a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation. Your contribution helps us provide education and resources to reduce accidents and fatalities, increasing stewardship of our waterways.
Thank you for your support!
