Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 6 based in Seabrook,
Texas, was awarded grant funds to install VHF radio
equipment. This equipment will improve emergency communication
on the water for all boaters.
USCGA 8WR-5-6 created and distributed “I got caught wearing my life jacket” T-shirts in Rogers, AR.
The Point Sail & Power Squadron based in Irons,
Michigan, was awarded grant funds to put up 3 Boat Smart
Signs.
District
27 of the U.S. Power Squadron is made up of 19 Squadrons
based in eastern North Carolina. They were awarded grant
money to produce 38 banners (upper right) to promote
their Vessel Safety Check program.
Members

safety checks and boating safety course.
