Donisha M. Evans - 1982-2010

BoatUS Underwriter

Donisha M. Evans – an experienced and successful underwriter at BoatUS passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2010. Donisha had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh both reflecting her personality - happy and positive. She cared about family, friends, BoatUS Members and she cared about her work.

Donisha earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Commonwealth University in May of 2005. She spent one year as a substitute teacher and joined the BoatUS family in August of 2006 quickly proving herself an asset and rising to one of our top underwriters.

Donisha was an Admiral's Award recipient in both 2008 and 2009. The Admiral's Award program is a prestigious program where the BoatUS Board of Directors honor employees in the company who achieve remarkable results. And that was Donisha - remarkable.

We will miss her, but take comfort in the belief that she has been called to a higher purpose, and give thanks for the time she shared with us at BoatUS.

We invite you to share your memories of Donisha or wishes for her family below. We will be sure to share your entries with Donisha's family.

Donisha and I started the same day and went thru UW training together. No matter how bad I was feeling, whenever I heard her laugh I couldn't help but smile. She was always willing to listen if I needed someone to talk to, and I'm going to miss all the fun times we had, both in and out of work. I'm happy that we were coworkers and friends. My thought and prayers are with you and your family.

Donisha, you were quiet but you taught us that you don't have to be loud to be noticed. Your laugh made everyone smile and your work ethic was outstanding earning you top rewards. I'll never forgot how you came out to all the after hour events including bowling and softball. You will be missed. My prayers are with you and your family.

Donisha, You were such a pleasant, polite and easy going person. I can just remember your laugh and hug as I left for my last day to begin working from home. I really enjoyed the times we talked. If it were an underwriting question or conversations we would have in the evening. You will surely be missed (Nisha) Peace and Blessing to your family Karen Williams
