Brian grew up boating with his family on Lake Erie. Once he entered the work force, he owned both sailboats and powerboats in the midwest and around the Washington, DC area.

Jeri was not familiar with boats until after she met Brian. After being introduced to the boating world on the Potomac River via a small run-about Brian owned approximately 12 years ago, boating became a favorite and much-enjoyed hobby.

Prior to purchasing Put-in-Bay, Brian and Jeri owned a 21' sport fishing boat on the Chesapeake Bay and also sailed/boated with friends. In addition, many of our vacations were spent on the water to include sailing on the Lewis R. French - - an original 65' wooden schooner out of Maine, and chartering with Conch Charters in the British Virgin Islands.

We purchased Put-in-Bay in October of 1997 and spent the subsequent boating seasons cruising the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River. In 1999, we added the 10' RIB dinghy with an 8HP motor just because there were occasions when we missed going "fast"!
