On the outside wall of a dental clinic in the highlands of Guatemala was this depiction of their practice. I always thought the dentures and their carrying system resembled some form of dinosaur.

 


Dr. Cordoba runs a private clinic in one of the poorer neighborhoods of Cartagena.

 


Both Lisa on Sand Dollar and Bernadette used Dr. Cordoba’s services, and found her to be one of the warmest and best physicians they’d ever met. From a working-class Cartagenero family, she established a low-fee practice in the neighborhood in which she grew up, but is also well known among cruisers who pass her name along to each other.
