We had breakfast at home in Virginia; several plastic plates of plastic food and a short sleep on the flight over the Atlantic; lunch with sailing buddies in the garden of a 15th century pub in the Kent countryside of England; then a late Spanish meal on a British Airways airplane and arrived in Malaga to find all of our bags, a taxi and our hotel by midnight, just one day after we left home. This was a quicker getaway and landing than last year when we sailed DOVKA across the Atlantic, and in some ways, more of a shock to the system. But we awoke to brilliant blue skies, the Mediterranean Sea spread before us and DOVKA still standing on her "stilts" in the shipyard. What a relief to see her. Now our first task is to clean and prepare her for launching.
