In the summer of 2000 Dovka crossed the Atlantic to Spain via Bermuda, five islands in the Azores, and Portugal. After entering the Mediterranean at Gibraltar, Sid and Rebecca put the boat on the hard for the winter in the Costa Del Sol of Spain and returned home to Virginia.

In May 2001, they returned to the boat and have been sailing east along the coasts of Spain and the Baleric Islands.
