What is the difference between register and login?  Why do I need to login? 

As a guest (meaning not registered nor logged in), you can read all  What's Cooking? recipes and features but are unable to respond or post entries.    

Only Members registered for this cooking site and logged in to this site can respond to entries or post their own recipes. You can not apply user names and passwords from other BoatUS websites at this time.

In order to be a registered user you must be a Member of BoatUS. This enables you to enter your recipes and photos, respond to other entries and receive email notifications of new posts.
