9-inch prepared pie shell (unbaked) 1/2 cup chopped onion 11/2 cup grated Swiss cheese ½ tsp nutmeg Preheat oven to 425 degree. Saute onion in butter until softened. Sprinkle the cheese over the bottom of the pie shell, then evenly distribute the onion over the cheese layer. Mix the eggs and the spices together in a bowl. Add the cream and mix well. Pour over contents in the pie shell. Turn oven down to 300 degrees and bake 45 to 55 minutes or until middle of quiche is set and toothpick comes out clean.
