Impellers

Reliability

With only one moving part, the tough, long-lived, wear-resistant flexible impeller design is lubricated by the liquid being pumped and has no metal-to-metal pumping action - no gears to jam, clog, or make noise.

Self-Priming Flexible impeller pumps prime instantly with dry suction lifts, up to 10' and once primed lift liquids up to 25'. This allows for cleaner, safer installations. No foot valve required!

Capacity

Generally, flexible impeller pumps require less space because they deliver greater flow for weight, size, and price than other types of pumps.

Maintenance
Flexible impellers can normally be replaced in minutes without disconnecting the pump or piping system. Maintenance is negligible. Since flexible impellers are so easy to replace, not to mention inexpensive, a spare should always be kept aboard in the event of a failure.

Versatility
Flexible impeller pumps combine the priming features of positive displacement-type pumps with the general transfer ability of centrifugals. They will pump either thin or viscous liquids and can handle more solids in suspension than other types of rotary pumps. They operate efficiently at high or low speeds, can be mounted at any angle, and pump in either direction with equal efficiency.
