Only issue was the rudder - it had delaminated and so had a hollow space. Although not considered an immediate structural issue by our surveyor, we nevertheless sent it in to Carroll Marine - the original builders up in Bristol - for a rebuild. Apparently, this was a known flaw. It came back rebuilt to upgraded specs that German Frers had provided for later models. The new shape was even more beautiful and sleeker than the original.
Carroll Marine shut down several years ago.
We never had any other issues at all. Were unaware of any problems with the mast step or keel bolt. Loved her.
