Is it me or is this ladder not long enough, I've tried looking for replacement but coudn't find one that would mount in its place...  does enoyone have a solution?

I couldn't agree more... the ladder is a good foot too short for boarding.

I added plastic steps, one or two that clamp on..worked well enough. get them at Marine stores.

seadoc, I've looked in many marine stores,  and don't remember seeing clamp on steps, wich marine store do you mean,  Thanks for the info...
