I have a 33 DA Sea Ray with a Progress I windlass.  I notice that since there is nothing to keep the line on the roller when at anchor and the boat is moving, the line rubs up against the side of the boat or the top thus creating chafing.  This also causes a problem when I bring up the anchor.  Sometimes the line either backs up or just spins.  I've replace the screw, finger and spring but I still have the problem. Has anyone replaced the roller setup off the bow to prevent chafing and help in raising the anchor???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
