I was wondering if anyone would know where I can find information on a 26.8' 1995 Crownline CR? It's got a 7.4L 415 horse Mercruiser in it and I wanted to know what options were offered factory that year. Any help or spec sheets would be very helpful!

I could be wrong but I think that, in 1995, the cruiser was known as the 250CR.  I don't think the 268CR designation came out until 1998.

And I seriously doubt that the 7.4L is rated at 415 HP.  I have a 1999 268CR with an 8.2L Volvo Penta that is rated at 415 HP.  Maybe the Mercruiser is different but I would be very sceptical.

You might try the Crownline Users forum for information.  I know there are several 250/268CR owners over there that could answer your questions more specifically.

Thank you very much for your in put. I did get in touch with crownline and it is in fact a 250 cr, you are correct, and it is a 7.4L which is a 320Hp. How do you like your crownline?

Heather,

I have a 2001 242 CR for sale.  It is a great weekender boat with lots of ammenities, including a full galley, and a private marine head.  We would like to downsize our boat and are considering a smaller Crownline cuddy model, something we can trailer easily for several hundred miles, should we get the urge.  Crownlines are great boats and have great customer support.  I needed detailed schematic drawings, and I was provided with exactly what I needed after one call.  Their owners forum is also very active.

Heather,

I have had my 268CR since new in late 1998 and it still pleases me greatly each time I take it out.  The 268CR (aka 250CR) is large enough to cruise rather comfortably and yet small enough to tow on a trailer albeit with some nervousness.  It can even pull water skiiers.  What a great combination! I think you have the best combination with the 7.4L engine; plenty of power with reasonable fuel consumption.  Enjoy.

David

I have a 1994 250cr should be the same as mine. I also have the 7.4L. I have the manual that went with mine showing the options. The book also includes the 330cr. I could scan that if it would help.
