I just bought a 1967 (so I am told) 23' Formula Thunderbird, assuming it's an F233.  I am curious to know does anyone know what the weight is on this boat?  I have seen everything from 4100-5900lbs.  I am looking for a trailer for it.

Thanks,

Adam

If you get a trailer that will hold 6,000# NET you will be fine, even with a full tank and gear.

If you get an aluminum bunk trailer, look for a "7,000#" trailer......that will be gross, but the trailer will weigh around 1,000#, leaving you with 6,000# capacity.  Plenty.

Thanks for the info.  Nice boat by the way!

Adam

PS - I am trying to identify the stern drive on my boat.  The lower drive has an ID plate on it that says OMC Stern Drive on it with a model # of 981918.  I am trying to figure out what year and model this is.  Any info would be great.  Thanks.
