How is it with the deep V, I've heard conflicting info. Some say it's like bing on a sea saw while others mention that it's not that bad. I figured I'd try here since there are more than a few owners here.

It can be somewhat difficult when considering the blend between between offshore fishing, slow speed trolling, and bottom fishing.

Is it tender at drift?  Yes in a sloppy beam sea it can be tender.  Is it any worse than any other "well-performing" hull?  I don't think so.

You get used ot it, and it is not a snap-roll like you can get on many cat hulls , it is just a back and forth.  I never have a problem.

I do a lot of offshore fishing, which includes tuna trolling, drifting for shark, and chunking at night (drifting OR tied up).  I also do a lot of slow trolling for stripers, drifting eels, etc.  I drift for fluke, anchor for tautog (usually in snotty weather, of course LOL)......

Get the idea?

If you fish in an area like up here. where the weather can turn anytime, you'll be very happy with the sea-keeping ability of a deep-V such as these.......if you fish in an area that's usually like a mill-pond (not likely offshore) then you can get away with a skiff....

I hear what you are saying about finding a blend, but I think many who talk about the roll of hulls like these are over-exaggerating quite a bit.  Not nearly as bad as you hear
