I just purchased a 1987 Sea Ray 300 Sedan Bridge and I
am looking for any type of manuals associated with my
Sea Ray.

I need an owner's manual, service manual, and an
"owner's packet" (not sure what that is but it is referred to
numerous times in the limited materials I could find).

Any help would be appreciated and I am willing to pay a
reasonable price to compensate someone for these
materials or a copy of them.

Thanks so much,

Hello Pappy, I also have a 1987 SeaRay 300 DB Sedan
Bridge. Did you have any luck finding manuals? The past
owner gave me a thick binder full of info. I believe he said
he got it from the Sea Ray Owners site under 1986. What
engines do you have? I have 270 Crusaders, V-Drive. The
manual I have has Mercruiser. The rest is all pretty much
the same.

I did get a few pieces of information - a 1988 305 Sedan
Bridge Owner's Manual that is some help but there are
some major differences. Also got a 1986 300 SRV Manual
that matches most of the 1987 boat. I keep wondering why
there is no 1987 stuff out there!

My engines apparently were replaced as they are 2006
PCM 5.7 260 HP carburetor models. I was lucky enough to
go the PCM site and find the manual.

Let's stay in touch!

There aren't many 1987 300DB's around in my area. I
bought the boat last year from a friend who buys repo's
and restores them. I absolutely love the boat! My manual
does say 1987 300DB, so if you want I can scan it and
send it to you. It'll take me a little time to do, but I don't
mind helping a fellow sailor out. I am in Southeast
Michigan, dock in Lake St. Clair. Take care! Randy

Randy:

If you could do that it would be appreciated! I would like to
send you a gift card or something to thank you. Is Algonac
near you? There is a West Marine there and us boaters can
always get into trouble at a West Marine!

I live in West Alabama but the boat is slipped in Fairhope
on the Mobile Bay.

Thanks again,

Mike

Hi Mike, You don't need to pay me for it. I'll scan it in
adobe and give me your email and I'll send it to you. It'll
take me a little while, I have post its marking the pages.

Yes Algonac is near our island boat club. Check it out on
www.belvidereboatclub.com

I'm 2013 Rear Commodore for the club. We can share
stories since we have the same exact boats. I've been
upgrading, new water heater, new fuel/water separators,
all new plumbing with a water filter, all new LED lights, New
canvas and flybridge strataglass, inside upholstery,
SeaWatch TV antenna, wiring upgrades, etc. I have a
leaking SeaStar hydraulic steering pump i have to get
resealed. It's an old boat and needs a lot of work but I got
a great deal on it.

Send me your email address and I'll get the manuals to
you free of charge! Happy boating!
