Hi Furman!

Hope you are doing well.  I hear that Jack and Pauline sold out but haven't heard how he's doing.

Are you still at SYC and making cruising plans?

John

Haven’t heard any more about Jack.  We’ve moved Lady to Ft. Pierce FL for at least a year.  (closer to the Abaco’s)  My microwave finally died and had to replace it. (a little tricky) My Boat  US insurance has gone down.  I have it covered for $225K with a $9K deductable and with the boat in Ft. Pierce year round the premium in $4,200.00 a year.

.  I’m working part time with FEMA (a great retirement job) in their Disaster Assistance group.

Furman,

I had the opportunity to deal with FEMA after Irene and it was a great experience.  Very helpful and fast.

The replacement refrigerator I used was an LG 20 cu.in. model with french doors.  The width was fine but I had to raise the top of the cabinet a little over an inch.  Getting into the boat was OK but going down the steps to the lower salon was a problem that required some temporary modifications to the woodwork.  But, I'm very pleased with it and noticed real improvements on inverter time.  Here's a photo:

We are in Marsh Harbour now.  I'll look for Lady when we are back in late March or April.

John
